Chinese Textiles

We are most familiar with Han textiles, but the ethnic minorities of China have produced fanciful, colorful costumes with distinctive flavors.  Examples such as pieces by the Miao and Zhuang from Southwest China are featured here. These pieces are primarily in the 60 to 80 year-old range, and exemplify superb craftsmanship and inspired expression.
