Japanese Wedding Kimono Late Edo period, c. 1860. Checked rinzu silk, with yuzen dyeing and sum-i-e painting.  This is a very soft, light-weight, supple silk, with delicate painting. The flowers and fans are lovely; each fan is different and has its own tiny chop mark.
