MARLA MALLETT: TEXTILES Japanese Kimono 1940s or 1950s Sheer silk with kasuri warp-ikat blue and white stripes; silver brocaded crosswise bands. This is a very elegant kimono, but unfortunately the silver banding cannot be appreciated in these photos. This kimono is a little smaller than average: it is 48½" across the shoulders, 58"long.
