Tashkent Suzani Uzbekistan.  Recent. 4'11"x 7'3" Silk embroidery on silk/cotton.  Basma stitch, or Bukhara couching, along with chain stitch. Glossy silks are brick red, green and yellow natural dye colors on a beige ground.  This is a contemporary embroidery with an old Ottoman design.
