Miao Apron Taijiang. Guizhou, China Appliquéd silk braid with children, ancestor figures and mythical creatures in the center panel. The narrow borders are folded and stitched silk triangles and cross-stitch embroidery.  25½"x 27½." The silk braids are made on a stand with bobbins, much like bobbin lace.
