Kyrgyz Tent Band 20th century.  16"x 17'10" Silk chain stitch embroidery on cotton. Elaborate wrapped and knotted tassels suspended from a macramé mesh. It is interesting that parts of this tent band were made either by different people and then assembled, or at different times by the same person, as there are quirky differences between the parts. The piece is complete, however, and in very good condition. In the photo below I have folded the piece and let the two ends drop.
