Ottoman Brocaded Panel Turkey. 1880-1890 Metallic brocade on purple silk. 79"x 110." This beautiful panel, which is slightly over 9 feet in length, could be used in a shorter space by folding the top end over a rod.  It exemplifies the luxury displayed in wealthy 19th century Ottoman households. It is in good overall condition, and loose brocade threads on the surface have been stabilized.  This large hanging was difficult to light evenly for photographing, but the color is even throughout.   $2800   HOLD   E-3519   Full view below                Larger full view photo
