Tai Lao Skirt Border - Tin Sin Northern Laos Cotton, brocaded with silk (supplementary weft weave - chok and khit). Dragon motif.  10½"x 38½." The ivory and peach-colored silks in this piece are extremely lustrous, producing an overall "silvery"effect, though this is not evident in the photos.  The piece is in  good condition, with a couple of small areas of faint staining. It is probably 50 to 60 years old. Such pieces were woven separately and attached to the traditional tube skirt.  $145     B-4857   Large detail photo
