Dao Yao Pants Lai Chan Province, Vietnam Indigo-dyed cotton with silk and cotton embroidery. 33½"long; 36"waist band. This garment is all worked in weave stitch and grid stitch, with narrow stem-stitch bands. It has none of the cross stitch that dominates in later Yao embroidery.  It is probably about 50 years old and is in good condition, with a couple of patches on the plain cotton waistband.  $235    B-4848   Large detail photo below
