Bold flatwoven rugs, hangings and covers have been made by Turkish, Yoruk, Kurdish and Turkmen nomads in Anatolia. These truly ethnographic antique Oriental tribal rugs called "kilims" or "kelims," are tapestry-woven, brocaded or combine techniques.
